I. Call to Order
The meeting was
called to order at 9:08 AM. by Association President. (Glady)

III. Reading/Approval of September 1, 2018 Minutes (Steve Minnick)
The minutes were
accepted by Renee, as presented – seconded by Liz - all accepted. – Motion
passed (201834)
IV. Member

No Members were
present.
V. Reading of Treasurer's Report/Financials
·
Treasurer, Mary Wade, gave an oral and written
report of recent expenditures.
·
Mary reported a balance of $72,754.84
·
Accounts receivable $13,586.53
·
Glady indicated that we need more descriptive
information on the expenditures. Discussion followed. Mary will look into how
to make it appear on the reports.
·
Mary will call this week to check the status
of the independent audit of our books.
Glady accepted reports
as presented.
VI. Clubhouse Report
·
We have a party scheduled for November 3 (Dave
Czech party).
·
A baby shower is scheduled for November 4
VII. Bluff/Parkway Maintenance
·
Team met with G2 to get clarification on
engineering proposal September 13.
o
The 1st part is a detailed scope of
work that can be quoted by an excavating contractor.
o
Anne will work with St. Clair County Drain
Commissioner for potential earth moving contractors.
Mike made a
motion to approve the 1st section of the G2 proposal for $4,975.00.
Steve seconded – motion passed (201835)
o
G2 will provide rough estimate of project
costs.
o
Jennifer Casey (G2engineer) says all trees and
vegetation must be removed from this section of the bluff for the rebuild
process – new vegetation & trees will be planted on the reinforced bluff
repair area, with main goal to save the bluff that ensures continued use of the
road and boat ramp.

VII.
Bluff/Parkway Maintenance (continued)
o
The second part of the HG2 proposal is for QC
work once the physical project is in process.
o
This will require additional Board approval.
·
Billy’s Tree Service will begin trimming
Laurel, Juniper, Ivy, section on Monday September 17.
o
Steve & Glady will be present to supervise
the work plan.
o
Anne Vaara will review the work on September
22.
·
Steve still has no response from Timberline
Tree Service – will continue to pursue Louie.
·
Steve recommended that if we approve of the
original work from Billy’s Tree Service that we consider approving Billy’s for
the rest of the contract - so we can get on his work schedule in the spring.
o
There was group discussion following this.
There will be a short Board Meeting Sunday September 23 to consider approval of
Billy’s Tree Service proposal based on the work completed (thus far) and Anne’s
review of the same.
VIII. Unfinished Business
·
Trash
Pick-up – Final contract review (with being made and a
correction of the 2023 rate that was incorrect).
·
Dues
Increase Vote – We will follow the motion to seek legal
counsel to correct the vote process for the increase.
·
Block
Captains – Liz & Lynn will write a draft job description
for the board review and consideration. They will also work on a “new comer
folder” which will include By-laws, Rules for Renters, Lex-Hi Newsletter, and a
list of local businesses.
IX. Membership Meeting - Topics from the floor:

Seeding
Worth Ramp – Hold off – let nature take its course.
·
Fixing
the erosion on Lakeview at boat ramp – Will review after
the sewer project is completed and on line. We expect many problems will be
solved as the work is completed.

Beach
Signs - Steve and Mark will review present signage and
make recommendations for improvements.
