I. Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 10:00 by President Gladys Stablein

Lynn Secord gave an invocation inspired by Rita Hoban's Invocations of the past.

IV Pledge of Allegiance

Gladys Stablein led the membership in The Pledge of Allegiance.

V.  Reading of Minutes from the September 2017 General Meeting.

Gene Komaromi read the Minutes from the September 2017 General Meeting.

Dennis S  made a motion to accept the minutes as read.
Steve Minnick seconded tyhe motion.

New Members

Severtal new members were introduced.

Treasurer's  Report

Treasurer Wade gave a written and oral financial report
Mary noted that 52% of the dues go to Trash Removal.

A few questions were answered by Treasurer Wade.

The Treasurer's Report was accepted and filed.

Guest Issues.

Phil Essenmacher gave an oral presentation on Sewer Project Information.
There is a 18 month "hook Up" time frame from the Sewer Completion date.
Hook Ups will be issued by Sanilac County Building Department. The County will not provide an approved list.
There will be dust, brining untill grass is replaced.
Worth Township has a new facebook Page,
The recycling been has been working, with the exception of trash dumping.

Phil also answered several questions regarding recycling, sewer and water issues.

Presidents Report

We obviously can't provide a list of approved sewer contractor.
Stairs will been installed at Juniper nad Maple, with a tentative future stair installation at Rosewood.
The Bluff is interviewing possible landscape contractors for the bluff areas.
Internet will be installed at the Clubhouse.
Phragmite removal has been ongoing along the bluff area.
The Beach Clean-Up was successful, thanks to Lynn Secord and volunteers. We will try to have neighborhood clean beach clean ups in the future.
Boat launch keys are late this year due a locksmith problem. Issue should be solved next week.
The boat launch extension was repaired.
The Clubhouse is in good shape, recognition was given to Julie Hayden.Nomn
Board elected terms of office are being discussed.
Some discussions have been held regarding beach access for handicap access.

Gladys enternained comments from Ben Talaferro for a "Murder Mystery In The Roaring Twenties" Friday, August21st at 6:00 PM
Gladys  reminder everyone regarding Golf Cart use.
Gladys reminded everyone about the rules for dogs on the beach.
Parking is allowed at the Clubhouse but not at the Boat Ramp.
Lexington Heights is getting Blight complaints, forms need to be filled out at Worth Township.

Nominations and Election Information


Gene Komaromi nominated Gladys Stablein, Gladys accepted.

Renee made a motion to close nominations.
Kevin Callas seconded.

Renee Jobbitt shared information on the July elections. There will be an Early Voting Day on July 14, 2018 from 12:00PM to 3:00.PM.
The regular election will be on July 21, 2018 from 12:00PM  to 3:00 PM.
Absentee ballots will be available.

Dues Increase Information

Mary Wade shared information on the mechanics of a election to increase dues and answered questions.

Report From Bluff Committee

Debbie Bonneau gave an overview on the Bluff Project from Ivy to Grove,mshe alsomshared information on trimming along the bluff.
Diane of Ivy asked questions regrading walking the beach.

Renters Inforation

Steve Minnick gave an overview of "Rules for Renters".

Meeting Rules was read by Mike Ryan.

Charlie from Nymph volunteered to have a class on Ti Chi at the foot of Nymph, on July 17th at 10:00 AM
Dianne asked if the Trustees would review the date and time of membership meetings.
Harry Grates suggested having the General Meeting on the last full meeting of June, and the Annual meeting on the last full meeting in August.

Renee Keyes made made a motion to push sand at the end of the jetties as was done in the past for an amount to exceed $3000.as needed.
Alan Polock seconded the motion.

A discussion followed.

Motion Carried  (Motion ID 201815)

A question was asked regarding Lexington Heights Info.

Kevin Callas made a motion that major expendatures of a non emergency nature be made by the membership at a meeting if they exceed $6000.00 and that the By-Laws be changed that that effect. using the beacvh,.

John Steris seconded the motion.

Motion did not carry.

Tom Serril asked a question regarding of non-members
